Mileage & Fuel Cost Calculator
Find your vehicle's mileage from the distance and the fuel it used, or estimate the fuel and fuel cost for a trip. Add the price per litre to see the cost. Your entered values stay out of analytics.
Formula and assumptions
Mileage = distance ÷ fuel used. Fuel needed = distance ÷ mileage. Fuel cost = litres × price per litre. Fuel cost per km = fuel cost ÷ distance, which equals the price divided by the mileage.
- Distance is in kilometres, fuel in litres and mileage in kilometres per litre.
- The price is what you pay per litre, taxes included. The tool adds no tax of its own.
- Fuel only. It does not include toll, driver pay, tyres, maintenance, EMI, insurance or permits.
- CNG and electric vehicles are not covered. Fuel prices change, so enter the price you pay.
- Money is rounded to 2 decimal places (half up), each from the exact figure. Mileage, fuel per 100 km and litres are shown to 2 decimal places.
