Credit Note Generator
Create a GST credit note: an adjustment note linked to a tax invoice you issued, for goods returned or a price reduction. The draft stays on this device, and PDF generation runs in your browser.
Informational template only. This GST credit note relates to the original tax invoice. Issuing it does not automatically reduce the supplier's output GST liability. Under Section 34(2) of the CGST Act, reduction is subject to the applicable reporting deadline and statutory conditions. Where the recipient is registered, the input tax credit attributable to the credit note must be reversed if availed. In other cases, reduction is not permitted if the tax incidence has been passed on to another person. Verify compliance before reporting any GST adjustment.

How credit note totals are calculated
Amounts are entered as positive values and shown as a credit; nothing is silently negated. Each line applies its discount before GST, with values rounded to paise at the line boundary and then summed. The original invoice is only referenced and is never changed. Credit note numbers use their own series.
