Retail & Cash Reconciliation
Daily Sales & Cash Closing Calculator
Reconcile daily recorded sales, collections, cash drawer movements, and counted balance. Completely private in your browser.
Formula and assumptions
Total sales = Cash + UPI + Card + Other Digital + Credit. Expected cash = Opening + Inflows − Outflows. Variance = Counted − Expected.
- Sales and collections are recorded for a single business day.
- Credit sales are recognized in total sales but excluded from current collections.
- Old customer dues collected in cash enter drawer inflows but are not counted as today's sales.
- Cash refunds and expenses are paid directly from the cash drawer.
- Reconciliation variance is computed only when actual physical cash counted is entered.
- Calculated in exact integer paise with zero floating-point drift.

Frequently asked questions
Is UPI added to physical cash?
No. UPI sales are recorded as sales and digital collections, not drawer cash.
Are credit sales counted in total sales?
Yes, if recorded today, but not in money collected today or cash drawer balance.
What if a customer pays an older invoice in cash today?
Enter it as 'Old customer dues received in cash', not as today's sale.
What happens if cash was deposited in the bank?
Enter the amount as a cash drawer outflow. It is not an operating expense.
Does the tool calculate GST?
No. Enter the sales amounts as recorded and use the dedicated GST tools separately where relevant.
Why is cash difference negative?
The physical cash counted is less than expected. Check payments, refunds, deposits and entries; the tool does not identify the cause.
